You need your own instrument, a compatible phone or tablet and an internet connection: tonestro listens through the built-in microphone, with no cable to your instrument. A real instrument. For piano, a piano, a digital piano or a keyboard works: tonestro listens through your device's microphone, without a MIDI connection. An iPhone or iPad with iOS 15 or newer, or an Android phone with Android 8 or newer and at least 4 GB of memory (RAM). Piano and guitar run on iPhone and iPad. No offline mode: tonestro needs a stable internet connection. Headphones when you play along with backing music. Wired ones work best.
